Dear Neighbor,
I am a moderate Democrat running for State House of Representatives in District 33B because I believe people are tired of politics as usual. Let's be honest, incumbents who tout their achievements calling $700M cuts to GAMC "Nationwide leading healthcare reform"1 and assert that they "helped create" the Angel Tax Credit2 when over half their peers were recognized as authors or co-authors while they weren't are why we can't trust government.
Partisan bickering, political truth spinning and government for the special interest and by the special interest serves politicians and well funded organized groups, not the people. While business is important, we need to remember that just like government, businesses only succeed when they are effective at serving the needs of people and when people don’t have money to spend, businesses can’t succeed. We need to focus on government for the people and by the people.
To make sure I’m prepared to represent the people of our district, I’m out visiting voters at their homes 7 days a week. You deserve a government that is more responsive to your needs and willing to make the effort to find out what you think. So far I’ve personally visited the homes of over 7,000 voters and what I’ve found is while we may not always agree on what should be done about our current situation, we all agree that we need to do things differently at the capitol if we expect things to change.
